Ibarra is the capital of Imbabura, is a town in the northern of Ecuador and is located at 2500 meters above the sea level.
The city of Ibarra was built on the slopes of the volcano that bears the same name of the province.
The name historically of this city is "The white city". Also is very common the phrase "Ibarra city that always returns"

The city of Ibarra is very interesting for many aspects:

First: The most attractive things of the Ibarra is the architecture of their houses, because they have a colonial style and almost all was painted the color white, is for this reason what Ibarra is called ``The white city´´.
Also is a cultural city in predominantly art, writing and history, there is also a biggest production to tourism in the north of Ecuador.

Second: Ibarra is an interesting touristic spot, among their attractiveness has the Yahuarcocha lake, the ice creams, and the delicious nogadas.
The people in this city are very friendly and kind.

Third: The climate of Ibarra is cool and is located in the valle of Ecuador at 2500 meters at the level sea.
